Abandoned Homestead, Cushendall
Abandoned Homestead - on the roadside between Ballymena and Cushendall, Co.Antrim. One of my earliest landscape memories as my family travelled this road often on the way to the Glens of Antrim.

Doolough Valley, Co.Mayo.
Doolough Valley is a haunting reminder of the Irish Potato Famine.
Tragedy struck in 1849 when several hundred starving residents from Louisburgh, Co. Mayo, were forced to walk 12 miles through freezing, unforgiving weather to Delphi Lodge. Officials refused them food, and many died of starvation and exposure on the return journey. Visit the memorial in the valley if you can.

On the southern bank of the River Arno in Florence, we found ourselves in a moment in this secluded little street.... only a step away from the bustling square of la Basilica di Santo Spiritu.

The Tower pierces the summer sky early one Friday morning. In the foreground we see the IMC Cinema in Ards. But it was this silhouette of Scrabo that captivated my attention. Less is more.

A delightful walk towards the Temple and I was met by this stunning atmospheric view.

A Quiet Place, Scrabo Park
In the car park at the base of Scrabo Tower sits this picnic bench. Its a place I frequent in times of solitude and it offers a beautiful overview of Strangford Lough.
